Function / Position Summary
Analyze and respond to requests for technical support over the phone and in person to provide solutions. Resolve technical issues or elevate resolution to Technical Support Supervisor when needed. Specialist will interact directly with supervisor, faculty, staff, students, and members of the public to ensure a level of high customer service and resolution to technical matters. Will ensure attendance and punctuality is in alignment with the district timekeeping policy. Will track and document all requests to establish and maintain department protocol and timely resolution as defined by the Director of IS. Maintains confidentiality of student/staff information in the school district and in the community. Travel within the district and surrounding communities is required.
 
Job Duties / Responsibilities
• Create, resolve, escalate, and close Help Desk tickets using the Help Desk management system.
• Document all troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference using Knowledge Base Solutions.
• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computers, peripherals, network connectivity, and printers as assigned.
• Provide support all District testing (PARCC, MAP, ACCESS etc.).
• Provide training to end users as related to technology.
• Provide, maintain, and troubleshoot network connectivity.
• Perform routine tasks, including cleaning, to maintain computer equipment and peripherals.
• Compile and archive data as assigned.
• Maintain ongoing organization and cleanliness in assigned computer areas.
• Record school equipment and asset inventory as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish written and verbal preferred.
Experience / Knowledge
• Minimum of one year, hands-on computer support experience.
• Understanding of TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) and networking tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Ability to learn and support new applications.
Physical Demands
• Ability to lift, move, or carry up to 50 lbs. with proper technique.
• Utilize ladders with proper technique.
Terms of Employment
• This is a Full Time (40 hours per week) position.

Function / Position Summary
Support the District Assistive Technology Team members and students who require augmentative communication systems and Assistive technology to access educational programming.
 
Job Duties / Responsibilities
• Assist with manual efforts needed to create low tech communication systems (e.g., picture supported communication books, core word boards, eye gaze systems, communication books) made from recommendations of AAC specialists: organize, print out, copy, laminate and distribute for the entire district.
• Travel throughout the district and private placements picking up and dropping off equipment and materials to be shipped.  
• Manages warranties for all equipment devices and alerts AAC/AT specialists when purchase requisitions and writes requisition form for all warranties and emails them to Special Ed.
• Obtains quotes so budget can be generated for materials and communication systems
• Maintains equipment inventory and check outs. Tipweb, asset management, remote management for apps.
• Initiates requisition forms and emails to special ed. for new equipment or repairs as requested by AT Team.
• Keep track of sent purchase orders and received/incoming purchases and repairs. 
• Assist with programming devices when recommendations for vocabulary is given from AAC/AT specialists.
• Facilitate and troubleshoot repairs of equipment with tech support upon AAC/AT specialist request.
• Research information online and needed topics.
• Update running system and apps for all iPads and high tech communication device.   
• Train Teachers, SLP’s to model and navigate with AAC devices, based off the AAC Implementation plan. Train staff in student’s classroom and model with the student.  
• Maintains backups of all iPads and other high tech devices in case of malfunction of device damage through iShare and iCloud. 
• Organize transition packets for the following school year for students transitioning or students that have been working with contract therapists.
• Pick up devices needed for summer school or devices that will be stored for the summer. 
• Share transition packets with new therapists via email at the beginning of the school year.
Education
•   High School Diploma.
•   Experience and professional development with high tech devices.
•   Bilingual - Spanish/English (written/verbal) preferred.
Experience / Knowledge
• Strong knowledge of technology and assistive devices used with special education students.
• IPAD/tablet technical support skills and Communication software and app knowledge 
• Strong organizational skills

Terms of Employment

• The hourly range for this position is $23.94 - $35.90. It is our typical practice to hire in between the minimum and midpoint ( $29.92).

Function / Position Summary

Implements student daily instructional plan in the absence of the classroom teacher. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of the District curriculum and goals in an effective manner, ensuring a safe classroom environment, proper classroom management, and maintaining reasonable rules of conduct encouraging self-discipline and responsibility. Serves as a positive role model for students, demonstrating professionalism that includes a positive attitude, positive and respectful communication, and professional appearance.


Job Duties / Responsibilities
• Reports to the main office for room assignment upon arrival and checks out in the main office at the end of the day.
• Arrives at building (according to the school work day/hours) with enough time to check in, review substitute plans, and be prepared for the day when the students enter the classroom.
• Implements the instructional plans prepared by the teacher.
• Clearly communicates expectations and adapts to individual learning needs, providing individual and small group instruction.
• Follows all necessary and reasonable safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Provides feedback to the teacher regarding instruction, discipline, and other events of the day.
• Maintains a professional and positive rapport with parents/co-workers/ administration.

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher or:
  • Have recently completed (within the last semester) at least 90 semester hours of coursework as a part of the approved Illinois educator preparation program with a Professional Educator License (PEL) in Pre-Completion status within your ELIS account.
  • Have 60 semester hours of coursework or higher to qualify for the short-term sub license.
Licensure
In order to work as a Substitute Teacher, you need to have ONE of the following credentials (REQUIRED):
• An Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) with a Paraprofessional (PARA) endorsement (Para Educator License or ELS-PARA); or
• A Substitute Teaching License - SUB; or
• A Short-Term Substitute License - STS (only valid until June 30, 2028); or
• A Professional Educator License (PEL) with any type of endorsement
 
Experience / Knowledge
 
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administration, parents, students and staff members.
