Function / Position Summary

Job Duties / Responsibilities
• Implement individual or small/whole group instructional lessons or related activity under the supervision of the assigned certified teacher.

Education
• Para Educator, Substitute, Professional Educator or Provisional Educator License required.
• Minimum education requirement for a Para Educator License is completion of at least 60 semester hours of college course work or a passing score on the ETS Para Pro exam or two specific Work Keys exams.
• Bilingual - Spanish/English (written/verbal) preferred. Certain assignments require Bilingual – Spanish/English.
 
Experience / Knowledge
• Effective communication skills.
• Experience working with students in an educational setting preferred.
 
Physical Demands
• Excellent physical agility and quick response time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Terms of Employment
• This is a 10-month position. Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education and set forth in the collective bargaining agreement as applicable.

Function / Position Summary
 
Perform a variety of administrative tasks necessary to assist in directing the operation and improvement of the Office of Elementary Schools. Assist the Assistant Superintendent in maintaining excellent and ongoing communication with all elementary school principals and administrators. Assist with handling community concerns regarding elementary schools and for working with community agencies to address those concerns.
 
Job Duties / Responsibilities
• Serve as a project manager for initiatives led by Assistant Superintendents of Elementary Schools, including tracking and reporting of data, timelines and expenditures.

• Maintain office supply inventory, prepare e-requisitions, process invoices and other business documentation processes.
• Document attendance/absences/submissions for Elementary Principals and Assistant Principals.
• Assist the Assistant Superintendent with the interview process for principals and assistant principals. Including contacting candidates through on-line systems, setting up interviews and communicating with candidates as requested.
• Regularly assist and act in a confidential capacity to the Assistant Superintendent.
• Assist in submitting, monitoring and updating professional development documentation.
• Research on school-related topics as needed.

Education
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Additional Information
 
• The salary range for this position is $54,752.00 - $82,139.00. It is our typical practice to hire in between the minimum and midpoint ($68,457.00)

• Implement district and school regulations and policy, including dress code enforcement, ID compliance, student and visitor building escorting, and pass privileges.
